THE OKARITO WHALE.

x CHRISTCHURCH, Sept. 1. The Canterbury College Board of Governors, at a meeting to-day, decided to grant £200 towards the cost of purchasing the skeleton of the Okarito whale for the Christchurch Museum, provided the mtblic subscribed another £200. Messrs' Stead and Turnbull,. owners of the, skeleton, have offered to give £50 each.
