LIEDERTAFEL CONCERT.

THIS EVENING,

It is hardly necessary to remind the public of Wanganui that the Liedertafei will give one of their always enjoyable concerts this evening. That there will bo a b:g " house" is assured, as all thecircle and stalls have been booked. A few back stalls are still available, but these who intend to secure them would do well to make early application this morning. The concert, i'rom an artistic point of 'view, promises to be equal to any of its predecessors. An excellent programme has been arranged, the Liedertafel items being particularly good works for male chorus interpretation. The soloists are Miss Pinches (soprano). Mr J. W. Atkinson (bass), and Mr W. A. Roach (flautist). Miss Pinches has already earned the appreciation of Wanganui audiences by her singing. Mr J. W. Atkinson, of ..Auckland, comes with the best of reputations. He is in fine 'voice, and took part in the production of "Samson" by the Auckland Choral Society. The Auckland papers speak very flatteringly of his solo work in that oratorio. Mr W. A. Roach, an exceptionally clever flautist, will play two items, which will doubtless greatly please the audience.
