WEDDING.

McGregor—davy

A very pretty wedding was celebrated at Normanby Anglican Church, on August 12th. The contracting parties were Mr Roy McGregor, of Te Rohi, and Miss Emma Louisa Davy, youngest daughter of^Chas. Davy, Esq., surveyor, late of New Plymouth, and granddaughter of - the late Captain L. H. Davj'j Bridend-on-Ogivey., Glamorganshire, Wales, formerly a captain in the army ©£ the Hon. East India Company. The bride wore a costume of cream silk lustre, the bodice trimmed with lace and silk passementerie. The skirt was trained and tastefully trimmed. She also wore the orthodox veil and orange blossoms, and carried pretty bouquet of flowers. The bridegroom's gift to the bride was a pretty watch. The bridesmaids were Miss Constance F. and Miss Florence A. Holden, neices of the brides and daughters of Captain F. W. Holden (Sydney). They wore white silk trimmed with lace and large white hats- Their presents from the bridegroom were very pretty brooches. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr M. Broderick, while Mt Harry Nickolas acted as groomsman. Mr B. H. Somervail gave the bride away. After the ceremony the wedding party adjourned to the residence of the bride's sister, Mrs Biddle,for afternoon tea Mr and Mrs Roy McGregor left by the 4.20 train for Wellington. The bride's travelling costume was green cloth trimmed with silk' braid and figured silk, cream lace vest. Violet and green hat. The presents .were numerous and handsome. With their many friends we join in wishing Mr and Mrs McGregor a long and prosperous life.:
