Wo offered 20 hales of wool, 2000 sheepskins, 250 hides, and a few lotsof tallow. There was a large r and representative attendance of buyers, several operators from the .South Island being present. Prices were Firm at about late rates, any change being in tho direction of better values. We quote:— Wool.—'Crossbredl l fleece 4|d to o£d, lambs clean 5d to 6£d, crutch ings good 3jd to 4d 5 do. inferior seedy 2^d to 3d. Sheepskins.—Halfbred good s^d to 6^d, do. short 4d to Sd, crossbreds medium to fine s|d, lambs good woolly ojd to s|d, do. short and1 inferior 4d to 4J-d, green and salted 4s to 4s 6deach.
Bides.—'Ox heavy o!,d to 6d, do. medium 5d to Sid, do. light, 4Jd to 4|d, cow medium 4^d. to 4^5, jdo. light 3|d to 4^d, sound calf 4|d to '5Jd, damaged calf 3d to 4d.
Tallow. —Tins 20s to 21s per cwt; casks 22s 6cl to 24s '6d per cwt.
