PRESIDENT'S PRIZES,

The competition for the president's prizes on Saturday afternoon drew forth the biggest number of goiters that have ever taken part in any club match. The strong wind1 that blew during the afternoon prevented any good wjores being returned. Harold, owing 3, won the prize in class A, with * down, and Metcher, receiving .5, was the winner in class B. The following are the chief results:—

Class A^-Harold, owe 3, 4 down; Chettle, receive 3, 5 down; D. Meldrum, owe 3,J. Harrison, receive 8, K. B. Taylor, receive 12, AY. A. Darcy, receive 13;' each with 6 down; I.Saunders, owe 2, Watson, receive 8, Ritchie, receive 7, each with 7 down. Class vB--.Fletoher, receive' 5, 2 up; Tewsley', receive 3, 2 down; Bayly , receive 15/ 4 down; Payne, receive 12, 5 down; Gill-Carey, receive 13, Baggett, receive 2, each' 6 down. The following ties have to be played off—Stephens and Ohettle, Clasa^ A. August medal; Allen and Tewsley, Class B July medal; G..Palmer, Howard, and Enderby, Class B August medal. The second and third rounds of both championships have now been played off with the following results:— Club Championship, second round— Harold beat Hardwicke, I. Saunders boat G. Saunders, Meldrum beat Ohettle, j>odgshun beat Darcy. Third round—.Saunders beat Harold,- Meldrum beat Dodgehun. Cla&s B' Championship.—Second round —Tewsley"' beat Gill-Carey, G. Palmer beat Baggett, Medhurst beat Allen, Howard beat Brown. Third round— Tewsley beat G. Palmer, and Howard beat Midhurst.

The finals of both championships will be played next Saturday. A competition will -also be held next Saturday for prizes very kindly presented' to the club by Mrs Pharazyn.f> '•' f -

On Wednesday last an 18-hol© bogey match waS played for a prize presented by Mrs Sarjeant. Both seniora and juniors competed, and the prize was won by-Miss Stanford <1) one down on bogey. jMisa D. Brettafgh (25) was second, o down on bogey, and Mrs Tewsley (30) and Miss P. Nixon (30) third, six down.
