STRATFORD, July 13. Thomas Jolley, aged 35 years, 'mail-j man. left Tatu on Sunday for Wh-anga-momona with the mails/ a distance of 25. miles, and liiag not since been heard of. It i 5 surmised 'that Jolley lost his life crossing the flooded Tangarakau River, which intersects the road at three places on his route. At the last crossing the cage is defective, and Jolley may have tried to cross the water-s-wept bridge. Jolley is a n>ative of Gippsland. A. search iparty from Whangamoniona Jiais gone out.
