Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Limited, report having continued their Fair at Palmerston on Friday, on the same ground as on the previous day. The j public attended in increased numbers, but bidding under the hammer showed no improvement on first day's sale. Bidding all through lacked animation, and but little business was done by auction. The catalogue consisted of Border Leicester?, bred by Mr. J. E. Gear, and these sheop were brought into the yard in show order and condition. For 2-toothe the rams were exceptionally well grown, and sales were effected at up to 6^ guineas. We offered Linoolns bred by Mr. Jas. Wilson,. Mr. Alex. Crowford. and Mr. J. Jarvis. The rams bred by Mr. Crawford were a nice even and well wolled lot, 6 selling at 6?gns and 4at sgns. The rams bred by Mr. were all good flock shoep, and showed plenty of character, and we had no difficulty in quitting 4 at 7gns and 6 at 6gns. On account' of Mr. W. Pearce, Oroua Bridge, we sold Southdown ewes at 3e;ns. We a'so quitted a . pen of 16 Eomnoys at 44gns, / which we had left over from first day's Fair. Summary of prices realised are as follows:—Extra good Border Leicester
flock rams, 6 at 6£gns; good flock Lincolne, 6, 6£, and 7 guineas; medium flock Lincolns, 4 to 5 gns.
