OHRISTOHUROH, February 3. The weekly ireview of progress of the New Zealand international Exhibition states that 'arrangements have been made by the High 'Commissioner for the colony to 00-operat-e witlh the London offices of till© N.Z. 'Shipping Co. and the Shaiw Saville and Albion Co. in the matter of advertising the Exhibition. The work of erecting the amaan building of fthe Exhibitdon and the art gallery is proceeding rapidly. Both oontractoTß sure taking the fullest advantage of the prevailing favourable weather. The damage done by the ire-cent gale haa all been rectified, and the debris cleared away. The visitors to the Exhibition grounds will note a considerable increase In the work recently (accomplished. At a meeting of the Finance Committee held on the 24tih ult. it 'was decided to recommend the Executive Comanissiiotners to donate » trophy as am inducement to the holding of a Cycling Chtampiionship during the period of the Exhiibition. It has been aa-ranged that a Mre Brigade International Display and kindred sports shall be held in the Exhibition .grounds on-a date to be fixed later on. Mr Soott, official representative of the New Zealand Iniberniational Exhibition in Australia, in. an interview he had with the Hon. J. W. Bent, Premier of Victoria, ascertained *that that Government proposed applying for 500 feet of floor space as a Victorian -Court, and that a CJommission would be appointed to reipresenit the State and the exhibitors. The Agricultural and Mines Depiaa-tnvents, as -we! as the Wine Assooiatione, will be prominently represen-t----ed Mr 'Scott also staited that South Australia is to <be_ffi#. represented, and that New South Wales has appointed Mr Anderson, head of the Intelligence Department, as a Commissioner to make all the necessary arrangements for the proper representation of the resources of New South Wales.
