Sapphire is by The Drummer (1) oat of Amethyst, by Ambrose (1), a son of the great Touchstone (14). Being got in Australia, and not raced owing to an accident, his opportunities were lost to the turf. He is fhe sire of Lady Lillian, Phaethonitis, Aeronaut, Trentbridge, and others. He is a horse of commanding size and substance, stands 16.2, and measures 9 inches below the knee. Phaethon, the only son of Trenton in the colony, will be at the service of breeders.
