EARLY MORNING WORK FOR LICENSE.

To the Editor

Sir,— AVith your permission I would like to say a few words re license in this town and district, and in doing so I would respectfully ask the publicans and others concerned to stick to fair play, which will do more to further their cause than by resorting to underhand tactics, such as I saw in the early hours this morning, when a man with a long pole was tearing down a well known Prohibitionist calico sign, "Strike out the top line." Again, I say, do not resort to underhand work, such a3 taking advantage of a man while he is asleep, but stick to fair play, which is bonny play.—l am, etc., TEMPERATE DRINKER. November 20, 1905.
