DISASTROUS GAS EXPLOSION.

(MHLBOURiNE, 'November 20. A terrific gas explosion occurred at the Waverley Hotel, Flinders Lane. The landlord of the (hotel, attired in pyjamas, was looking for a leak, and struck a match. A great explosion followed*. Every window in the building was shattered. The landlord's clothing took fire, and he was shockingly injured. He was taken to the Hospital, where he lies in a critical-condition. Two others were (hurt, but not seriously.
