Sir, —Having 'had my attention drawn -*o a Press Association telegram re the .JPirchibition meeting at Airamoho, in it was stated —" The meeting was -^rery orderly amd speeches moderate in -.stone, the speakers apologising for reflficrabions previously cast," I wish to.dfcate -"•emphatically that no apology was asked rSor or given during the meeting; T.oeither did any speaker make any apol•^>gy up to the time the meeting ter--xninated with 'a vote to the chair.—l ~tun, etc., W. Mr Walter Grey was ~<ftihe first speaker, and he was followed Hjy the Rev. Dewdney. At the end or speeches a few questions wwg asked sand answered, after which the Rev. IDewdney proposed a vote of thanks to -$bhe chair. This was seconded by Mr r; 3Jreohin, and earned. Then the President of the Licensed Victuallers' Association rose and said he was very pleased ~iat the way in which the speakers had --^spoken, as he and the other m-embera -sof the Association had come to themeet- : ang to arefuite what bad been said in the -ssrfcreefc on tho previous Saturday night -^should those remarks he (repeated.
