OPERA HOUSE.

THE BIORAMA COMPANY

Despite the fact that the weather was anything but promising last evening, and that the company was paying its third visit to Wanganui within' a short period, there was a large attendance at the Opera House to participate in the entertainment given by the Biorama Company. The downstairs portion of the house was packed, while there were not a great number of empty seats in the dress circle. The nroga-amme presented was a magnificent one. Good as were.those given on the previous appearances of the company, last night's was unanimously voted the best. Only ■Me picture was shown which was not new to a Wanganui audience, but it was well worth repetition. It was a film 700 feet in length, and depleted Switzerland in winter. It was a beautiful picture in every way, and one could wish to see it again. Among the ether pictures shown, each toeing a splendid one, were Overhanging Railway. Naval Display, Norwegian Waterfall, Scenery on the Thames, Irish Eviction, Train Robbery, Dog Stealers, Railway Tragedy, and others. The comic element was well represented, much laughter being caused by A Warning to Young Ladies, Eixing a Swing, Enthusiastic Golfer, Drat That 'Boy, A Matrimonial Advertisement, etc. The orchestra- played splendidly, and the vocal items were quite up to the high: standard associated with the Biorama Company. The entertainment went with a splendid swing from beginning to end, and was- enjoyable in the extreme.
