CHRISTCHURCH DRAINAGE BILL
PROPOSAL TO BORROW £100,000.
(Per Press" * Association). CHRISTCHURCH, September 5. The Ghristcharch Drainage Board, at a special meeting; held this afterii|F.>n, adopted a motion authorising the promotion of a Bill in Parliament to authorise the Board to borrow £100,000 for the extension of the sewage system through greater Christchurch, and the Board s solicitor seated that Sir Joseph Ward had informed him that if the Standing Orders re advertising and the depositing of local Bills were complied with, tho Bill would have the support of tho Government.
