HOCKEY.
In view of the approaching' representative match against Manawatu the rep. team will play a rep. Thursday team to-day. As several rep. men are unable' to play, their places have been filled by other players. The following are the teams :—Rep. team—Gaze, Coe, Bell, Loftus, Martin, Holloway, Hardwicke, Strange (captain), Armstrong, Rabone, Cave. Thursday team—Oliver, Benefield, Clare, King, Thomson, Bassett, Haase, Campbell^ Mayo, Mather, Pearpoint. The match will be played at 3.45 on the Racecourse. AH players are requested to attend punctual. Colours: Ren team, all white; Thursday team, chili colours. The following will play for the Maxwell Club against Eastown on Saturday afternoon, at I.3o:—Handley (2), Watkins, Smith, Robson ; Goldsbury (2), Oxbrow, Worsop, Williams, Barclay; emergencies, Davey, Worsop, Sykes.
