The usual monthly meeting of the Commitcee of the Wanganui Agricul-j tural Association was held last night in the Secretary's office wheii there were present—Messrs. J. H. Nixon (in the chair) .J. Wilson, R. Russell, J. Biggie, G. Smith, J. T. Sinclair, A. Burnett, J>; Mason, C. Buirnett, H. Speed, E. J. Smith, C. G. Russell. Apologies were reeeiyedf mm Messrs. A. Bignell, and J. G. Swan, for non-at-tendance. Mr Epson wrote offering a special prize for milk cart race.—Resolved that I Mr. Empson be thanked for his donation, and his letter was referred to the Programme Committee. Proposed by Mr. Burnett, seconded hy Mr Higgle, jihat no ground spao or entry fee be charged for agricultural i:n. plements. | Resolved that Mr J. H. Gilberd be appointed in Mr. J. Hand-ley's place on the Produce Stewards, and .that Mr Wickham be appinted vice Ma-. Richiu's on the Poultry Stewards. Resolved that the matter of incieasing the prizes in woll and grain b© referred to the Programme Committee. The Chairman reported that medals were now ready and that posters would be out by the end of the month. The Chief Marshall, Mr Sincluir reported that he had appointed the following Chief Stewards:—Light horses, Mr. R. Russell; draught horses, Mr D. ■Mason; cattle, Mr C. Perrett; sheep, Mr. T. A. Bamber; pigs, Mr. E. Perrett ; poultry, Mr. G. Silooek; dogs, Mr. T. fi. James; produce, Mr. G. Smith; implements and side sfoows, Mr A. Atkins. Resolved tihat the Chief Stewards be notified 'tihiat they hand in their reports at the next fortnightly meetvig. Resolved that the Light Horse Stewards meet on Saturday week at 7.30 p.m. Resolved that the Produce Stewards met on Tuesday week at 7.30 p.m. Resolved that all members in arrears with subscriptions be written to requesting them to pay up arrears forthwith.
