LEVIN AND CO.'S REPORT.
Messrs Levin and Co., Ltd., report as follows: — We offered on the 2nd in»<t. 30 bales ■of wool, 2000 skins, 175 hides, and a quantity of tallow. Crutohings ruled firm at last sale rates —superior selling at s|d, medium to 5d to s£d, and inferior at 3sd to 4*d. Skins. —There was a strong demand at prices in eellers' favour. We quote —• Merinos 6id to 7d, half-breds G^d to 6|d, fino crossbred G^d to 7d, coarse crossbred 6Jsd to 6|d, short wool sid to 6d, dead skins 4£d to s^d, butchers' green. 4s 9d to 6s eadh. 'Hides.—Prices were again, easier for heavy hides. We quote—Cows': L: ght lls to los, medium 15s fo 17s, heavy 17t3 to 18s. Ox: Light 18s to 20s, medium 21s to 22s 6cl, heavy 23s to 26s 6d. Tallow.—Rough, fat 14s to 15s, tallow in tins 15s, casks 17s.
