A "workman engaged in paint-ug the outside of a house had jthe misfortune to fall, and was taken unconscious *° a hospital clofee by. The house surgeon examined him and told the "dressers" tlhati the man was unconscious owing tol concussion of the brain, but that) what was rea^y the matter with him was appendicitis, and he must be operated on at once. Imagine their surprise when strippping him iv the, operating theatre to find tatooed on his chest the following words, "Please dol not operalt© for appendicitis, I have already been operated o« tern times for it with no result." ,
