BIBLE READING IN SCHOOLS.

A well attended meeting of citizens was held to-night in favour of the movement for Bible Reading in Schools. A plebiscite on "the- question will /probably be taken.

An important decision was given by J istice Williams- to-day, the effect of v/iich is to make it penal for a prohibited person to enter any licensed premises in the col. onv. The case was an appeal from a de-. cisipn of Major Keddell at Oamaru. who had dismissed an information against a prohibited person for entering licensed premises autside the district in which the order was made. His Honor thought an offence against Section 26 was committed, and the respondent should have been convicted.
