CHRISTCHURCH, October .2. The range makers' dispute was before %he Arbitration Court this morning. The demands of the Union are: Hours of work, from 7.45 a.m. to 5 p.m., and 7.45 a.m. to 2 p.m. on half-holidays ; minimum1 wacre, 9». per day for range fitters and polishes, and Bs. for grinders.; apprentices, ok© to three journeymen, and wages to range from 7s. 6d. in the first year to 30s. in the fifth.
