Waitotara-Momohaki Road Board.

. __^ The ordinary monthly meeting of the above Road Board was held on Saturday, the 13th inst. Present. —Messrs Fisher (chairman), Kennedy, Birch, Alexander, and Sewell. Minutes of previous meeting were read and confirmed. Correspondence, was read from Bank of Australasia (3), Commissioner of Crown Lands (2), Department of Roads, Messrs J. D. N. Elliott, W. A. Qoin, and J. Annabeli To j Messrs J. D. •W. Elliot* (3), Hicks (2), Parsons, Simpson, Clark, Seat-on, Bank of Australasia (4), Commissioner of •Crown Lands (2), Chief Surveyor (2), Patea County Council, Motoroa Road Board, Experimental Farm, W.-W. Road Board, Reserve Trustee. "Chronicle" Company, and Mrs Ross. Re deviation of Block 9 Road.—The clerk was instructed to write to Mr Alex. Dickie and request him to obtain the required signatures to plan. ! Proposed by Mr Sewelli. seconded by Mr Kennedy, that Mr Annabell be asked to prepare plans, etc., for contracts No.. 91 and 92 (Puao Dray Road). The following tenders wera received for contract No. 90—Seaton £14, and Nau#hton £11. Mr Naughtom's tender was accepted. On the motion of Mr Birch, seconded by Mr Alexander, it was resolved that the Patea County Council be informed: that this Board will strike no rate for the current year. It was resolved that Mr Alexander be authorised to arrange ior horse and dray to fill in holes on the Upper Vallfey roads, and the chairman and1 Mr Kennedy to arrange for the Lower Valley roads. Messrs Kennedy and Birch reported that they had taken over contract No. 74. Proposed by Mr Birch, and seconded by Mr Alexander, that Messrs Kennedy and Sewell be authorised to call' for tenders for contracts Nos. 91 and 92. . Proposed by Mr Kennedy, seconded by Mr Birch, that the clerk's resignation be accepted. Accounts amounting to £37 5s were passed for payment.
