MARTON, Tuesday. The Fire Police;" in conjunction with the Brigade, held a useful practice last «veniujr, the former 'under Captain White and the latter tinder Captain Gronn and Lieut. Campbell. A heap of gorse had been lighted in Wellington Road, and within three minutes of the alarm vie Brigade showed water on it, the Police being equally quick in roping off the street. The Mafton Cricket Qlub will play Hunterville C.C. in the Park here nest Wednesday afternoon. Junior players are requested to roll up every evening for practice. . ■ " * L
The sub-committee of the Maiton School have fixed the date for holding a monster concert in aid of the school funds to be held in, the Theatre Royal on Wednesday, 19th December. The pupils attending the school will take part'in the first part" of the programme, being assisted by our load talent. The concert will take place instead of giving prizes to the-children.
