Charles George Baker, licensee of the Sandridge Hotel, Sydenham, was fined 20s this morning for refusing to admit the police on a recent Sunday evening. Several cases under the Dairy Act were heard. Isaac Parish was fined 5s for neglecting to coool the milk before offering the same for sale. Edward Cockayne was fined 40s and costs for using a milk-cart for cariying pigs' wash. WELLINGTON, December 3. At the Supreme. Court, Paul Chequelle, convicted yesterday of wounding, was sentenced to five years.
