AUCKLAND WOOL SALES,

Per Press Association. : AUCKLAND, December 3. The wool sales opened to-day, when 4306 bales were offered, and a fair proportion sold, though the prices realised ruled low. in sympathy with the southern sales. The top price touched was 6d for ten bales of half-breed fleeces, and the average fall all round compared with last year's opening sala was about l^d, half-breds declining from id to |d, finev crossbreds from Id to l£d, medium and coarser wools about 2d. The prices ranered : Half-breds 4^d to 6d, fine crossbred 3^d to 4Jd, medium and coarse crossbreds 2^d to 3^l, Lincoln wools 2Jd to 3d.
