SERIOUS ACCIDENT.
A serious accident occurred near Taihana yesteiday. Two men namscl John Holroyd and David Bernard were engaged ■in blasting a. tree, when one of them, after lighting a fiuse, threw the match into a keg of gunpowder- The result was disastrous to both men, ail their clothes being burnt off, and their bodies being severely burned. Their wounds were dressed by Mr. Allan Hogg, and they were sent down to Wanganui by train, arriving at the Hospital at 7 p.m.
