LONDON, August 13,
Great Britain has notified that she objects to any Power securing superior influence by helping China to pay the indemnity before 1940, not 1910.
The Chinese Court complains of mismanagement in the negotiations with the Allies, and the retention of too many foreign soldiers in Pekin. It expresses its inability to return to Pekin during the present year.
