PROPOSED MAORI SCHOOL

AUCKLAND, March 4.
There appears to be reasonable hope* of a Queen Victoria School for Maori girls baing begun at no veiy distant date. Already nearly £300 has been raised, one Maori lady having given £100, and ladies all over the colony are endeavouring to raise funds. There' was £150 given anonymously in Auckland a few weeks back, and about £150 are in the Savings Jiaiik
