THE A. & P. SHOW.

To The Editor.

Sir, In tho interests of stock breeders I would like to point nut what I consider a, very great injustice— in not having the name of the breeder as well as the exhibitor entered in your show catalogue. For instance both champions and some of the first prize-takers in the Lincoln classes were awarded to exhibitors that did not breed the animals, and the champion draught filly was bred by me. From the entry in your show catalogue, the public are led to assume that the exhibitor bred the animals themselves. Money can buy champion and first prize-takers, and there may be mint in exhibiting them — when the breeders name is published — but quite tho reverse when the breeder is ignored. It must have a demoralising effect, and is not fair play. Two words in the catalogue would settle this matter — give the breeders name or breeding unknown. In conclusion let me congratulate your Association on the general success of the late show. —I am, etc,

R. B. HAMILTON.
