SUPREME COURT.
(Peu Press Association-.) INVERCARGILL, February 23. In the Supreme Court action Clapp v. P. Dela Perrelle, of Arrowhtown, claim of £500 damages for the seduction of his daughter, Justice Pennefather gave judgment for £30 and costs on, the lowest scale. The argument for the defence was principally ou the fact that the woman was 26, and had not been long under her father's roof for several years, and therefor plaintiff could not be "said to have lost her services, but His Honor held that under the Act of 1885 it was not necessary that a woman should be resident with her father. There was the plaintiff's family however to consider. To-morrow the last case will be taken, and on- Monday Justice Pennefather will take the divorce case Gilfillun v. Gilfilluu and tAnderson, which will not be defended.
