CANTERBURY V. WELLINGTON. (Per Puess Association.) Christchubch, Deoember 6. The interprovincial cricket match, Canterbury v. Wellington, was commenced to-day at Lancaster Park. The weather was fine, and lhe ground in good order. Wellington batted first, and scored 182 runs— Fuller 35, Izard 31, Cross 27, A. Blacklock 26, Holdship 23, and Ashbolt 16 being the principal scorers. At the call of time Canterbury had scored 84 runa without the loss of a wicket— Cuff (nofc out) 46 and H. C. Kidlev (not out) 29. COLLEGE PAST AND PRHBENT v, WANGANUI CC. The annual mttch botween the Past and Present of tho Collegiate School and an eleven of the Wanganui Club was played yesterday afternoon on the school ground. The school team batted firsthand made 73, the only double-figure scorers being Montgomerie and Cave 17 eich and McLean 16. IT. B. Cave was the most successful bowler for the club, securing seven wickets for 23 runs, W. B. Cave got ons wicket for 24, and Cook one for 2. When time was called the club team had hit up 75 runs for the loss of six wickets, H. B. Cave being not out with 35.
