As it may not be uninteresting to our readers to know sonitthing of the life of the Gourlays, we may state that Miss Amy Gourlay was born iv I'arauaki, and was odncatod and brought up in Christchurah until she joined tho theatrical company of Messes iirough aud Boucicau't. Mr William Gourlay was educated in ITdinburgh, and after playing with succoss in Sydney and Melbourne, joined his sistor some tbiee years ago, and has ever since, in conjunction with her, been performing "Music, Mirth, and Monody" throughout the principal towna in Victoria.New South | Wales, South Australia, and Queensland, This is thoir first visit to New Zealand, , and, after playing a season in the North ! and Middle Island, they are booked to i leave for San Francisco, where they have been engaged for a tour through tho principal cities in the west and tast of the United States. As this will be the last opportunity the public of Wanganui will have of seeing these young and taloated artists, we earnestly recommend their being prosonfc at tha Oddfellows' Hall to-morrow evening.
