« PRODUCE MARKET. The Jlanawatu Farmers' Co-operative Association, Limited, reports for the week ending March 30th : — Since our last report the very welcome rain has caused quite a revival in the seed department. Ityegrass— A good demand still continues at advanced prices for prime heavy samples. Cocksfoot lias already advanced in price, owing to the short supply. Oats are coming to hand very freely but rather light. Wheat— Heally primn samples of milling ore very scarce and command highest rates, while fowl wheat show a drop with abundaut supply. Our quotations are:— Wheat— Whole fowl, 3s 2d to 3s 4d broken, 3s to 3s 2d. Barley— Malting, 3s to 3s 3d ; feed, 2s 9.d to 3s. Oats—Sound milling, 2s to 2s 3d ; stout feed, Is 9d to 2s. Beans— Horse liand-threslied. 2a lOd to 33. Peas— Bluo Prussian, 2s Gd to 2s 9d ; Partridge, 2s Gd to 2s 9d. Maize— Very scarce with gpod demand, 4s to 4a 3d. Oatsheaf Chaff— sss to Gss per ton, sacks extra. Onions— Brown Spanish, 70s to 80s per ton. Cheese— Dairy, 4d ; factory, 4|d to sd ; Butter— Dairy, Gd ; separator, 7d. Eggs— Very'scarce, Is Gd per doz. Tallow— lss to 17s per cwt. on trucks. Uiiles— 2d to 2Jd for heavy weights. Fungus— Good demaud, 2£d to 2gd.
