COOK STRAIT CABLE BROKEN AGAIN.
GETTING TERRANORA READS' FOR REPAIRS. EXTRA OPERATING STAFF TO BE SENT TO WANGANUI. (Pbr Press Association.) Wellington, January 22. The three-core Cook Strait cable has broken near the Fplice about 20 miles from Lyell Bay. The cable steamer Terranora is to bo commissioned immediately with a viow of affecting the necessary repairs. This leaves only one line across the Straits to Blenheim. An extra operating staff is to be sent to Wangunui in the morning to assist in working tho cable from Wanganui to Wakapuaka.
