TERRIBLE ACCIDENT.
Killed by au Axe. A aid awidont happened at Kochdale, Now South \Vales,afßw days ago, whereby Margaret Waley, a little girl four years of age, was killed by being struck on the side of the head uy an axe, which slipped from her father's hands while he was engaged in chopping wood. The father about noon went into an adjoining paddock, taking with him his three little girls. He was chopping down a stump when the axe slipped from his hands and Btruck the child, who was sitting a few yards away. The little girl was taken to the houso at once and Dr Bucknell summonod, but tho ;;xo having cut sovoral arteries and fracfcurud tho skull, death was inevitable.
