MR REES AT AUCKLAND.
Resolution of Approval Carried. (Peb Press Association.) Auckland, July 17. Mr licca addressed the electors of Auckland last night re the Cadman-Uces episode. Ihe following resolution was carried " that this meeting having heard Mr Hecs' statement, and considered the finding of the Napier, jury is of opinion that, iv laying the charges against Mr Cadinan, Mr Recs wns only performing his duty as a representative ofthe people in Parliament; the omission of Mr Cadman to apply for a Committee of the House to enquire into the whole matter gives grounds fora very strong suspicion tyat he was afraid to face a tribunal which, under the circumstances, wns the only body able to clear his character."
