Southern Unemployed. (Feb Press Association.) Chribtchurch, July 19. Mr Henry Overton, who has returned from S-ydney, states that there was a eood demand for Linoolnd, fair for Border Leieesters, poor for English Leicester', and none for Southdowns. The bulk of the New Zealand consignments Buffered through being offered on the first day of the sale, as competition and prices were improving as the week went on. He is confident that an important trade has been inaugurated. The Minister of Labour has mado provision for 15 men going from Christchurch to Cheviot on Saturday, in addition to |the 15 for whom he provided work at Eltham.
