«■ (Peb Pbess Association.) Dumedin, July 18 At a meeting of the School Commissioners the. reply made in the House to Mr E. M, Smith that the cost of titleß issued by the Commissioners amount to fron> £5 to J6lO wa3 brought up, and it was decided to inform the Minister of Education that leases issued by the Otago Commissioners cost 10a 6d exclusive of stamp duty. The report that the measles were introduced by the monkey in Jfillis' Circus is incorrect. The measles appeared in Dunedin before the circus arrived, and the monkey died from receiving a kick from a horse. A miner named Andrew Anderson, at the Kyeburn diggings, was found dead at the foot of a cliff, having evidently BhpDed over the face during the previous night.
