FATAL ACCIDENT AT TAKAPUNA.

The recent lamentable accident at Lake Takapuna, which wo recorded a few days ago, which resulted in a young girl named Amna Warmoll receiving very serious injuries from a fall from horseback, has had a fatal termination. Miss Warinoll, who was the daughter of Mr and Mrs Warmoll, 01 " Sunny Brae," Takapuna, died yesterday at her parents' residence, after lingering on since last Monday. She was out riding at Lake Takapuna on her pony on Monday, and was accidentally thrown while returning to hor home. The riding habit caught on the pommel of the saddle, and she was dragged along the road by tho frightened horse for six, or •even chains. She sustained terrible injuries to her head, causing severe concussion of the brain. "When she was picked up on the road by her frionds she was almost stripped o£ her clothing, and was unconscious She was at onco conveyed to her home, and every attention was given to her, but she did not rally and sank until phe died yesterday. Great sympathy is felt in the district; and in Auckland for her parents, who are wellknown and hiphly respected. The halfbrother of the deceased, Mr Walter Tye, was accidentally killed atLakeTakapuua about three months ago, so that the death of the lister comes as a double bereavement to the parents.
