In order that these crude oils may not be taken for our Pure Volatile Eucalypti Extract, which is recognised by the medical division of the Prussian Government to be of perfectly pura origin, as per in formation forwarded to us through tne Consul at Melbourne, 2nd March 1878, we state : — It is proved by testa made by die Medical Clinics of the Universities at Bond at Greifswald (Prussia), and reported by Dr Shulz, Professor of Pharmacology, J. Bonn, and Professor Dr Mo^lor, Director of the Medical Clinic at Greifswald that only products that are saturated with oxygen and freed of acids, resinous and other substances, adherent to primary distillation, will develop the sanative qualities proper to the plant. All crude oils or so-called Eucalypti Extract are to be classed according to the same authorities among the turpentines which are of insignificant medical value, and abandoned long since as an intornamedicament. Those crude oils, or ao-callnd j Encalypbi Extracts, are descernible — .By their deficiency in pungent odour (which our product, tlie only genuine Eucalypti Extract, develops most freely through its surplus of oxygen). 2 By tiisir alcoholic, tliin and morbid appearance being raducod in special dentity through tho presence of acids. County Council being desirous cf raising the sum of £4000 by way of loan, isnJor the provisions of "Local Bodies' Loans Act, 188(5," and the " Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 188G," and amendments, hereby publicly notify that— "It is proposed to form a Special Kiitini; District to be called the Kapabi Special Rating Dis. Hirer for the purpose of raising a loan of for the following purposes : — I. (1) For widening the piesont bridle track into a dray road from theMangawhio Stream to the Waitotara Hirer, thence to the Provincial boundary lino (£2200.) (2) For forming the road from the Provincial boundary line along the Makakaho road into the Mangaponw Block (£800 ) (3) For forming a bridle track from Mangacne Stream down the Waitotara River into the To Ngaue Block (£500) 11. It is propofel to p»y the first year's interest and cost of raising the loan out of loan. 111. It is propesnd that tho boundaries of the Special Rating L>i>trict shall be as follows : — Oommoncing at the confiscated boundary on the Waitotara River following westerly to Manga, whio Ridge Road, thence by the said road to the Provincial boundary line, thenco by the Provincial boundary to the Wiitotara River, thence by the Wai tot™ River to the Ratokohu Stream, thor.ee following tl'O western and northern boundary of the Mangapapa Block No. 2 to where it strikes theMaungaporau Block.thonce by the northern boundary of the Maungaporau Block tn the north east corner of Section 22, Maungaporu Block, thence along tho eastern boundary of that section to where it strikes Mangapapa No. 1 C. Block, thence running southeast along the the boundary of Mangapapa C. Block to the ridge until it strikes the boundary of the Waitotara County, thence following the boundary of Patea and Waitotara Counties to the southeast boundary of Mangapapa No. 1 B. Block, thence by the boundary of the said Block and No. 1 A. Block to the Waitotara River, and thence by the river to the starting point. The security to be offered for the said loan to be a special rate of twopence and one-twelfth of a penny in the X to be struck over the whole of the rateable property (Crown and Native lands excapted whilst such lands ate actually Crown and Native lands within the meaning of the Crown and Native Lands Rating Act, 1882), within the said Kapara Special Rating ing District as abovo defined, such rate to be an annually recurring one for 26 years, and to be payable on the first day of October in each year. The amount to be set apart in each year towards paying off the loan to be £200. A meeting of the ratepayers within the Kapara Special Rating District will bo held at the Town Hall, Waitotara, on MONDAY, 7th August, 1893, at 3.45 p.m., to consider the above proposals. EDW. C.
