At a meeting of the Football Association delegates to-night it was decided to send a team to the tournament to bs held at Chriptchurch this month. The Auckland Trotting Club propose to give in stakes .£I3OO at the summer meeting, of which w£2oo is to be davoted to the Auckland Trotting Olub Cup. The police aro unsuccessful ill tho identification of the body of the man found in tho Domain. Mr Sanderson, ot Blind Buy, Great Barrier, who has been prospecting for silver, forwarded a specimen qf silver ore to Sir Pond, analyist, which is stated to assay at the rate of 49ozs to the ton.
