[Per United Pkess Association.], Christchubch, December 2. At a meeting of the butchers' employes to-night, it was resolved to form a Trade Union. One hundred men were present. Messrs Dillon and Esmonde addressed a densely crowded meeting iv the Theatre Royal to-night. Mr Percival, M.H.R.,; presided. The delegates we -c enthusiasm ticaliy received, and presented with ad-' dresses from the Reception Committee and Hibernians. On the motion of Mr P. Reeve 3, M.H.R., seconded by Mr Ganmock, a motion was unanimously carried affirming Home Rule to be necessary , to Ireland, and the best means of securing the true union of the differeuts parts of the Empire. The collection reached 1 £350. At the Supreme Court to-day, George Tillet, for robbery under arms, received four years. . ■ •
