- ; [Per United Press Association.] Wellington, May 12. James Simmons has been ' arrested on a warrant issued from the ' Bankruptcy Court, New Plymouth, on a charge of being about to leave the eplony with a view of ombarrasirig proceedings in bankruptcy. Mr Jellicoe, for tho defence, contended that the warrant was bad, and applied for a writ of habeas corhus to bring up the debtor , and release him from custody. His Honor granted a rule nisi, and the police were ordered to return the summons on Wednesday and show cause syhy he should not bo released. Letters have been received by the Wellingion branch of the New Zealand Masonic Union from the Masons in Queensland congratulating this colony upon tho progress the Grand Lodge movement is making, and stating that a similar movement haa boen commenced in Queensland,
