ANOTHER CHILD DROWNED IN THE RIVER.

Another death from drowning occurred in the river yesterday afternoon, the unfortunate victim being a little boy about six years old, named George Fish, \vhof?a parents reside in the neighs bourhood of Poverty Flat. It appears that about half-pact two o'clock yesterday afternoon deceased went down to the river, opposite Mr Ooker's house, to bath 3. It being very deep there ho quickly got beyond his depth, and was very soon drowned , Immediately on the bhcl occurrence becoming known, a messenger was despatched to town for the grapyliug irons, which were soon to hand. A boat was a'so procured, and pearch was thon made for the body. The dragging was carried on unceasingly fjr hours, but unfortunately without avail. We hear that a large number of boys of all ages make a constant practice of batbing at tbe dangerous spot where young Fi3h met his death. It is rather a matter for surprise than otherwise th*t an accident has not occurred before.
