ALBERT BARNS'S (LATE BARNS & HIGGIE) SALE REPORT.
Our sale on Wednesday 10th, was better attended than it has been for several sales past, and we ate glad to note a slight advance in the price of Btock, and an improve" ment in the tone of the market generally. Beef and mutton were sold a shade higher than late quotations, but this rise ia more noticeable in stores. Pigs met a good sale and were well competed for. We quote : — OattliH.— lf at -cows, £3 7s, to £4 16a j store cows (in good condition), £2 19* ; Cows and Calves (in poor condition) £3, A few 2 and 3-year*old ateera were turned out unsold, the vendor seeking £3 and £4 respectively, whioh could not be obtained i Shbbp.— Fat wethers were sold at at 8s and 8s 6d ; old ewea 3s 4d to 4s 4d; lambs 4s. Piga (well bred stores), 10» (Jd, : lis, 14a 9d, and 265 ; fat piga 84a. I We will hold a large sale on Tuesday, next, at Mr C. M. Biohard's farm, No. 2 Line. See advertisement.
