ARRIVAL OF CARDINAL MORAN.

' (PBR UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION) Dunedin, February 11. About 1500 people assembled at the railway station to meet Cardinal Moran on his arrival by the South express. On the train reaching the station ths Cardinal was greatly cheered. He was placed in a oarriage drawn by four greys, •Bishop Moran and the Catholio representative; Mr Petrie, being in the same .carriage. A procession waa then formed, and prtioeedei from the station to the uew Cuthedral, where an aroh bearing the inscriptions' of welcome and decorated with evergreens was ereoted. On reaching the new Cathedral addresses were presented by Archdeacon Coleman on behalf of the clergy, and by Mr (Julian on behalf of the laity, to which the Cardinal replied, referring to the fight which the church was compelled to wage against false liberalism. After the service the Cardinal was con* ducted to the Bishop's residence, where fireworks, rockets, &c, were let off.
