In the Synod, the Primate replied to a question of the Dean of Ohristohuroh that thera was x.-o vestige of truth in the rumour that lie had refused to receive oolonially ordained clergy, and tbafc in fact the number of suoh clergy had largely increased of late. Of 62 applicants since July last 60 had been granted. The select committee on the Dunedin pro - oathedral reported in favour cf the scheme, subject to the approval of the Diocesan Wynod. An amend ment was proposed to get a | sctoi.'d parochial u^ciing. The whole I qufc.tion was referred to tho trusts comuiiUfee. The proposal to reduce tho age of deacons in some case3 was ad- ' journed until to-morrow. Tho business may close this week. ♦
