PROGRAMME : 1. — Maiden Plate, £50; entrance £3 ; weight for age ; 1| miles ; open to all horses that have never won public money prior to date of entry; any horse entered for Maiden Plate winning an advertised race between the time of entry and date of race to carry a penalty of 51 bs. To start at IS o'clock. 2.— Handicap Hubdle Raoe, £50 ; 2 miles and a distance ; over 8 flights of hurdles, 3ft 9in high ; top weight not to exceed 12 stone, and lowest not to be under 9 stone. Nomination £2, to go to the fund ; acceptance, £3, to be added to the stakes. To start at 1 o'clock. 3.— Hack Hubdle Race, £10 ; once round and a distance ; post entries ; entrance, £1, to be added ; weight to be not under 9 stone ; open to all horses that have never won an advertised race, hackj races excepted ; jockeys to ride in colours. To start at 1.30 p.m. 4.— Wanganui Stakes Handicap £150; second horse to receive £20 out of stakes, third horse to save his stakes ; 2 miles and a distance ; nomination, £2 ; acceptance, £3 ; top weight not to exceed 10 stone. To start at 2.30 p.m. 5. — Railway Plate, £50; lj miles; weight for age ; entrance, £3. To start at 3.30 p.m. 6,— Consolation Stakes Handicap £30 ; for all beaten horses ; 1 mile and a distance ; nomination, £1 ; acceptance, £l. To start at 4.30 p.m. RDLES. Nominations for W.S.H. and Hurdles close at the Pier Hotel on September 23rd at 9 p.m. Weights to be declared on October sth. Acceptances and general entries close at the Pier Hotel on October 10th, at 9 p.m. No entry will be received for any, races except upon this condition— that all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing, shall be decided by a majority of the Stewards present, or those whom they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with fche carrying out of this programme shall be final. All entries to be sealed and addressed to the Hon. Secretary, Wanganui ; entrance money enclosed, with the name, age at time of entry, pedigree, and in case of handicaps, performances of the horse, name of the owner, and colours of the rider. Any jockey riding except in the colours entered will be fined 3 SOVB. When two or more horses start, the property of the same owner, a distinguishing colour must be worn. All persons intending to withdraw horses, are required to give notice to that effect to the Secretary or Clerk of the Scales one half-hour before ingAny person neglecting or refusing to comply vrith thi3 rule shall pay a fine of 5 soys to the race fund. All entries should be made on the Club's printed foims of entry, which may;|be obtained at the office of the Hon Secretary. All races to be run under the W.J.O. Rules. Horses walking over will only receive half the stakes. . Annual qualification fee, £3 for nonmembers, for one meeting £2. Second horse to save its stakes in all races except where otherwise specified. No entries or nominations will be received under any pretence whatever after the time specified for closing.
