THE WANGANUI SCHOOL COMMITTEE.

The usual monthly meeting of jH Committee was held yesterday a^H noon. Present — Messrs Drew (C^B man), Carbon, Shaw, Ciirrie, and tfiS Minutes.— The minutes of the H vious ordinary and special mectiM were read and confirmed. H Infant School. — Tne Cliairman^B ported the result of the deputatioa^H the Education Board in reference to^f Infant School (which has already I>^| reported in these columns;. If the BH cation Board received another £l^M from the Government — and there <^| some reason to believe that be obtained from that source — the elsi^H of the Infant School would be coaH dered. H Cobeespondence. — The outward <^| respondence was read. Boys' High School. — Letter from i^H Chairman of the Education Board, Hn» attention to the fact that Mr Fea^H ley had been permitted to leave hi*?M as Master of the Boys' High Sch'->ol,a^B Mr Francis had been temporarily pointed to the vacancy, without Board having been formally notiiiei^B the same. Head Master. — Letter from the n ] requesting the Committee to be attendance at the Board's offices at n.m. on Wednesday next, to confer li the Board in reference to the appliions for the post of Head Master at jtovs' High School. Also letter mu<t 'that the Board had accepted h regret Mr Fearnley's resignation, \ had advertised for a successor, as ue-ted. — The Committee agreed to ept the invitation to attend the Con>nce on Wednesday evening.
