Entrance 10s at the post ; distance once round ; catch weights. Ladies' Puese of 25 soys. Entrance 2 soys ; distance l£ miles ; welter weight for age ; none under 12st. Riders to be members of the Club. Fobced Handicap for Winners of 20 soys. Entrance 2 soys ; losers optional at 1 soy. Distance 1 mile and a distance. Nominations for the Flying Handicap, the Patea District Jockey Club Handicap, and the Handicap Hurdles, to be made at the Secretary's Office, Carlyle, on or before 5 p.m., on December 28, 1878. Weights for the two first to be declared on January 15, 1879. Acceptances to be made on the night of general entry, Feb 8, 1879. General entries to be sealed and addreßsed to the Hon Secretary P.D.J.C., at the Office, Carlyle. Entrance money and qualification fee enclosed with the name, age, pedigree of the horse, as also name of owner, and colors of the rider, 5 p.m on February 8, 1879. The second horse in every instance, excepting the Hack Races, to save his stakes. The rules of the Patea District Jockey Club will be strictly adhered to.
