April 29. The races took place to-day with lovely weather. There was a fair attendance. Maiden Plate, of 25 soys., one mile and a quarter — 'Monarch,' Ist; 'Kiwi,' 2nd. Four others started. Jockey Cltjb Handicap, of 150 soys, with sweepstakes of 10 soys., one mile and three quarters — ' Yatterina' Ist ; 'Calumny' 2nd; 'Kakapo'3rd. It was a magnificent race. Handicap Steeplechase — * Rustic ' Ist ; ' Wouldn't you like to know ' 2nd ; * Butcher Boy ' 3rd ; * Heiress ' 4th. Ladies' Purse— ' Kakapo ' Ist; Sherwood ' 2nd.
